The Westinghouse WGen5300cv

The Westinghouse WGen5300cv's core is the 274 cc OHV 4-stroke engine with cast iron sleeve, which runs on gasoline. With an output of 120/240V, it provides a running wattage of 5,300W and a peak wattage of 6,600W.

With a noise rating of 68 dBA (less noisy than an office), the generator's starting mechanism is centered around a manual recoil starter system.

Equipped with a 4.7 gallons fuel tank, the WGen5300cv ensures continuous operation for up to 14.5 hours with a full tank (fuel usage approximately 0.32 gallons per hour).

As the WGen5300cv exhibits a THD of less than 23%, which is high, it is best avoided for powering sensitive electronic devices.

The inclusion of a TT-30R receptacle (TT for 'Travel Trailer') makes this Westinghouse generator RV Ready, ideal for providing power to recreational vehicles. Despite its weight of 133.6 lbs, the generator is still considered 'portable,' meaning it is movable, although its heftiness may restrict portability in certain environments or require additional considerations for transportation and setup. However, its challenging mobility is solved by its wheel kit and its folding handle, which will ease its displacement, once it is on the floor.

The WGen5300cv's control center features a convenient meter, which displays voltage, frequency and lifetime hours to aid you with the monitoring of its status and activity.

The built-in fuel gauge of the generator ensures simple and quick gas level assessments.

From a security point of view, the generator is equipped with an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), giving you a peace of mind during use.

It also includes a carbon monoxide sensor. This sensor is designed to monitor the level of carbon monoxide present during the generator's operation. If the generator is positioned incorrectly and carbon monoxide levels rise to an unsafe level, the generator will automatically shut down.
