WEN GN625iX - 5000/6250W Open Frame Inverter Generator

The WEN GN625iX is the newer version of the GN625i. It's a portable inverter generator mostly geared towards:

• RV travellers wishing to enhance their freedom and nomad lifestyle
• People occasionally participating in sporting competitions, open-air performances and outdoor festivals
• Food truck owners who want to ensure that their business is fully self-contained and does not rely on potentially unreliable external power
• Homeowners who want to be sure of their ability to power their fridges, cooking tools, heating and lighting equipment during power failures

Power & Run Time

The WEN GN625iX's design includes a gasoline-fueled 301 cc OHV 4-stroke engine. With a 120/240V output, it gives a running wattage of 5,000W and also a peak wattage of 6,250W.

Its starting mechanism is based on a manual recoil starter system.

With a full tank, the GN625iX can operate for around 8.1 hours at 50% load (fuel consumption around 0.52 GPH), thanks to its fuel capacity of 4.2 gallons.

Sensitive electronics can be safely plugged in the AC outlets, as the GN625iX produces a clean sine wave, with a <1.5% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD).

Additionally, it features 2 DC outlets: there's two 5V USB ports (USB-A) perfect for conveniently charging mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices.

This WEN generator is RV Ready, thanks to its TT-30R receptacle (TT stands for 'Travel Trailer'). In addition, since the GN625iX bears a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, it is transfer switch ready: it is easily connectible to a breaker box and can power your home in case of a power outage.

Portability

At L27 x W25 x H24 in, the traditional open frame structure of the WEN GN625iX ensures stability while facilitating convenient maintenance access to components and promoting air cooling. The device has been designed for tough environments and demanding outdoor use.

Since the generator weighs 119.5 lbs, it will be incredibly difficult to manually lift it and transport it, even though it is technically considered to 'be portable' (in the sense that it is movable). However, its challenging mobility is solved by its set of wheels and its folding handle, which will ease its displacement, once it is on the floor.

The GN625iX's status and activity may be monitored conveniently via the control panel, as it features a convenient meter, showing voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours metrics.

In addition to this info, some light indicators allow you to instantly see if the generator is overloaded, the oil level is too low and the generator is ready.

A built-in fuel gauge allows for a quick, easy and convenient check of the fuel level of the inverter generator.

Security-wise, this product benefits from an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), which gives you a complete peace of mind when using it.

The unit also benefits from WEN's CO Watchdog carbon monoxide detection. This system measures the accumulation of poisonous CO gas while the generator is running. If the level of CO gas gets too high, the CO Watchdog system will automatically shut down the generator.
