Power & Run Time

With its dual-fuel technology, the WEN DF1100X delivers 120/240V, and offers power and flexibility. Running on gasoline, it boasts a running wattage of 8,300W and a peak wattage of 11,000W. When powered by propane, it delivers 7,500 running watts and 9,500 peak watts.

Its starting mechanisms include a classic hand-operated recoil starting mechanism and a convenient and efficient electric starter (battery included).

Regarding its running time, the DF1100X, with a 6.6 gallons fuel capacity, can operate for around 8.5 hours at 50% load with a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption around 0.78 GPH). When using propane, it can run for around 3 hours (on a 20 lbs tank - propane consumption around 1.57 GPH).

As the DF1100X exhibits a THD of less than 15%, which is relatively high, it is best avoided for powering sensitive electronic devices.

Even if this WEN generator isn't quite RV Ready, it still allows for an easy RV connection via an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor, thanks to its L5-30R receptacle. Besides, since it boasts a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, the DF1100X is engineered to be transfer switch ready, ensuring easy integration with your breaker box to provide backup power to your home during outages.

Portability

At L27.3 x W20.6 x H21.9 in, the traditional open frame structure of the WEN DF1100X ensures stability while facilitating convenient maintenance access to components and promoting air cooling. This type of design is ideal for tough environments and heavy outdoor use.

Although this generator is technically considered 'portable' (in the sense that it can be moved), its 213.8 lbs make it incredibly difficult to manually lift and transport. Still, once it is on the ground, its wheel kit and its folding handle can easily solve the issue of low mobility and allow for easy relocation of the device.

Included in the control panel of the DF1100X are a convenient meter, which displays voltage, frequency and lifetime hours, essential for monitoring its status and activity.

Benefiting from its built-in fuel gauge, the generator allows for easy and immediate gas level inspections.

From a security standpoint, the generator is furnished with an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), ensuring peace of mind during operation.

The unit also benefits from WEN's CO Watchdog carbon monoxide detection. This system measures the accumulation of poisonous CO gas while the generator is running. If the level of CO gas gets too high, the CO Watchdog system will automatically shut down the generator.
