Zoom on the Firman H05751
In a few words, the Firman H05751 is a portable generator perfectly suited for:
- RV travellers who wish to upgrade their experience to another level
- People occasionally participating in outdoor fairs, festivals or events
- Food truck owners who want to ensure that their business is fully self-contained and does not rely on potentially unreliable external power
- Homeowners who want to be able to use the most necessary devices in their household, even during a blackout
- Professionals who want to be able to deliver results, even during a power failure
In the sections ahead, the power characteristics, availability of various outlets, the portability, and any additional features of the device shall be discussed.
Power & Run Time
Delivering 120/240V, the Firman H05751 is enhanced by dual-fuel technology, providing power and versatility. Running on gasoline, it boasts a running wattage of 5,700W and a starting wattage of 7,125W. Alternatively, when propane-powered, it delivers 5,700 running watts and 7,125 starting watts.
At a noise rating of 74 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a shower), this generator can be started via a classic hand-operated recoil starting mechanism, or a straightforward and intuitive electric starter (battery included).
With a fuel capacity of 8 gallons, the H05751 can operate for around 12 hours at 50% load using gasoline (fuel consumption around 0.67 GPH), or for around 5 hours (estimation based on a 20 lbs tank - propane consumption around 0.94 GPH) using propane.
The H05751 is unsuitable for the powering of sensitive electronic devices due to its high THD (<25%).
Outlets
The control panel includes the following 6 AC outlets:
Even though this Firman generator isn't quite RV Ready, its L5-30R receptacle allows an easy RV connection via an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor. Besides, the H05751's twist-lock L14-30R receptacle makes it transfer switch ready, enabling hassle-free connection to your breaker box for powering your home during outages.
Portability
Measuring L30.2 x W27.5 x H26.3 in, the classic open frame build of the Firman H05751 delivers stability and easy maintenance access to components, facilitating air circulation. This type of design is ideal for tough environments and heavy outdoor use.
While technically classified as 'portable' due to its ability to be moved, the 194.5 lbs of this generator may make manual lifting and transportation somewhat difficult. However, the lack of maneuverability can be offset with its wheel kit (⌀10") and its folding handle, which allows for convenient shifting once the generator is placed on the ground.
Features
The H05751's control center features a convenient meter showing you voltage, frequency and lifetime hours to aid you with the monitoring of its status and activity.
Thanks to its built-in fuel gauge, the generator allows you to quickly, conveniently, and easily check the gas level at a glance.
As for its security measures, the device features an overload protection (circuit breaker) and an automatic low oil shut-off, letting you use it with a peace of mind.
Apart from the typical documentation and an owner's manual (opens in a new tab), which lets you start it right away, the Firman H05751 also is packed along with the following accessories: funnel, propane hose, tool kit and oil.

The Firman H05751 versus other generators
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how some of the key specs of the Firman H05751 compare to dual fuel generators of similar power (between 5500 and 6500 W).
- Weighing 194.5 lbs, the Firman H05751 is one of the heavier dual fuel generators within the 5500-6500 rated wattage bracket. Weight-conscious users may find the Pulsar PGDA70BiSCO appealing, as it is one of the top contenders in this power range, weighing just 118 pounds.
- At 74 dBA, this generator's noise rating is in line with the expected average for devices within its type and power category. If you are concerned with noise, check out the Pulsar PGDA70BiSCO, which is one of the least noisy generators in its power range, with a noise rating of just 62 dBA.
- With a run time of around 12 hours at 50% load, the H05751 has one of the highest run times, compared to its similarly powerful peers.
- Autonomy holds its importance, however, it is largely dependent on the generator’s fuel capacity and so, it is nonsensible to discuss it without mentioning fuel efficiency as well. This generator doesn't excel in fuel efficiency when compared to others of its kind: it consumes approximately 0.67 GPH at a 50% load. To prioritize fuel savings, we advise considering the DuroMax XP7000iH, which stands out for its gasoline efficiency, consuming just 0.38 gallons per hour.
The bottom line
- Dual fuel
- Several accessories included
- GFCI Outlets
- Electric start
- High run time
- Acceptable noise (74 dBA)
- No remote start
- On the heavy side (194.5 lbs)
- Low fuel efficiency
