When powered by gasoline, it achieves a running wattage of 10,500W and a peak wattage of 13,000W. Switching to propane provides 10,000 rated watts and 12,500 peak watts, while natural gas operation delivers 9,000W of rated wattage and 11,250W of starting wattage.

The generator is rated for a noise of 74 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a dishwasher). Its starting mechanisms include a classic hand-operated recoil starting mechanism and a convenient and efficient electric starter (battery included). To increase convenience, the DS13000MXT offers remote starting functionality, allowing for easy operation from a distance (key fob included).

The DS13000MXT, with a fuel capacity of 8.3 gallons, reaches a run time of around 8.5 hours at 50% load utilizing gasoline (fuel consumption around 0.98 GPH). Alternatively, it can reach a run time of around 3.3 hours (on a 20 lbs tank - propane consumption around 1.42 GPH) with propane.
