With its dual-fuel technology, the DuroMax XP15000HX delivers 120/240V, and offers power and flexibility. Running on gasoline, it boasts a running wattage of 12,000W and a peak wattage of 15,000W. When powered by propane, it delivers 11,400 running watts and 14,250 peak watts.

DuroMax’s Auto Fuel Selection technology automatically selects the fuel source (LPG or gasoline) depending on availability and prioritizes LPG. Thus, if a propane tank with enough LPG is connected, the generator will automatically use LPG. If no propane tank is connected, or if there is not enough LPG remaining in the tank, the generator will use gasoline.

With a noise rating of 78 dBA (less noisy than a shower), the generator features a classic hand-operated recoil starting mechanism, but also a convenient and efficient electric starter (battery included). For additional convenience, the XP15000HX may also be remotely started (key fob included).

In terms of its run time capability, the XP15000HX, furnished with a 13.2 gallons fuel tank, can maintain operations for around 12 hours at 50% load on a full tank of gasoline (with fuel consumption averaging 1.1 gallons per hour). It also provides around 2.8 hours (on a 20 lbs tank - propane consumption around 1.68 GPH) of operation with propane.

Since the XP15000HX has a somewhat high THD (<12%), it is advisable to not use it for the powering of sensitive electronic devices.

This DuroMax generator features an L5-30R receptacle, enabling an easy RV connection via an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor. However, it is still not quite RV ready. Besides, because the XP15000HX is equipped with a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, it is transfer switch ready: it can power your home during a power outage, as it can be easily connected to your breaker box to power your household.
