- Amateur DIY lovers
- Homeowners who want to be sure of their ability to power their fridges, cooking tools, heating and lighting equipment during power failures
- Camping and tailgating hobbyists looking for a portable power source
In the following paragraphs, we shall explore the power characteristics, available outlets, portability, and any additional features of the device.
Power & Run Time
Thanks to its dual-fuel technology, the Champion 201319 delivers 120V and offers power and versatility. When gasoline-powered, it benefits from a running wattage of 3,500W and a peak wattage of 4,500W. When propane-powered, it has 3,150 rated watts and 4,500 peak watts. Furthermore, its parallel capability (ParaLink (opens in a new tab) not included) allows power output to increase when connected to another similar or compatible unit, ensuring expanded energy capacity and reliability for various applications.
Featuring a noise rating of 61 dBA (just slightly more noisy than an office), the inverter generator is equipped with both a traditional recoil pull-start mechanism and a hassle-free and practical electric starter (battery included) for starting. Champion’s EZ Start Dial lets you intuitively start the engine with easy access to all the controls you need.
In terms of its run time capability, the 201319, furnished with a 2.3 gallons fuel tank, can maintain operations for up to 14 hours on a full tank of gasoline (with fuel consumption averaging 0.16 gallons per hour). It also provides up to 21 hours (on a 20 lbs tank - propane consumption around 0.22 GPH) of operation with propane.
The <3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of the 201319 ensures a clean sine wave output, providing a secure power source for your sensitive electronics through its AC outlets.
Outlets
The control panel features the upcoming 3 AC outlets:
It also sports 1 DC outlet: there's a 12V 8A (cigarette lighter style) receptacle providing easy battery charging capabilities.
The inclusion of a TT-30R receptacle (TT for 'Travel Trailer') makes this Champion generator RV Ready, ideal for providing power to recreational vehicles.
Portability
Thanks to its closed inverter generator design (L23.2 x W17.7 x H20.1 in), the Champion 201319 not only offers superior aesthetics but also operates with reduced noise levels compared to a typical, open frame generator. This modern design aims to provide an ideal power solution to recreational users.
The 201319 can be taken anywhere with you, thanks to its weight of 103.6 lbs. Additionally, its set of 2 wheels (⌀5") and its folding handle enable easy movement of the generator once it's in place.
Features
One of the many 201319's features is the digital Intelligauge data center, included in its control panel, which conveniently provides information on the frequency, lifetime run hours, voltage and power output and thus, helps you monitor its activity and status.
In addition to this info, the device’s light indicator will display if its oil levels are insufficient.
A built-in fuel gauge allows for a quick, easy and convenient check of the fuel level of the inverter generator.
In terms of security, the generator features an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), ensuring peace of mind during its use.
The unit also benefits from the CO Shield™ technology, which monitors accumulation of poisonous carbon monoxide (CO) gas produced by the engine's exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield™ detects elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine and illuminates a red LED.
Apart from the standard documentation and an owner's manual (opens in a new tab) to facilitate setup, the Champion 201319 features extra accessories: tool kit, propane hose, funnel and oil. The official storage cover and running cover are also available, as separate purchases.

The Champion 201319 versus other generators
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how some of the key specs of the Champion 201319 compare to inverter generators of similar power (between 3000 and 4000 W).
- With a dry weight of 103.6 pounds, the Champion 201319 finds itself in the expected weight range for inverter generators able to produce between 3000 and 4000 rated watts. If weight is an important consideration for you, the Pulsar PGD40iSCO stands out as one of the top contenders in this power category, with a dry weight of 46 pounds.
- Because this inverter generator emits noise as low as 61 dBA, it can be considered to have a pretty average expected noise rating for a device of its power. If you wish to prioritize minimal noise, the Westinghouse iGen5000DF stands out as one of the quietest options among generators of similar power, with a rating of 52 dBA.
- Offering up to 14 hours of running time on a full tank at 25% load, the 201319 is within the average autonomy range of similarly powerful inverter generators. Furthermore, considering the run times, one of the generators which have a roughly same power output, with the highest autonomy, is the Champion 200977, as it provides up to 22 hours.
- Autonomy holds its importance, however, it is largely dependent on the generator’s fuel capacity and so, it is nonsensible to discuss it without mentioning fuel efficiency as well. With an estimated gasoline consumption of 0.16 GPH (gallon per hour) at 25% load, this inverter generator is among the more fuel-efficient of the products in the above-mentioned wattage range. If not satisfied with the afore-mentioned fuel consumption, you may wish to check out the Champion 201050. With a fuel consumption of as little as 0.15 GPH, it is one of the most efficient generators currently on the market.
Price comparison
As you can see from these interactive charts, when compared to other 3000-4000W dual fuel inverter generators, the Champion 201319 is on the average side of the price range.
Therefore, this generator nicely fits in the expected budget for this kind of product.

User Reviews
I bought this for back-up power during outages and to use while camping in our RV. I love the fact that it is RV ready and will power out 13.5kw A/C and other appliances simultaneously. I have only run it on propane, and really don’t plan on using gasoline unless necessary. It starts easily and runs very quietly. I run it on our RV’s onboard propane and it will run all weekend on our RV tanks with gas to spare. I would highly recommend this generator to any of my friends.
