Power & Run Time

The A-iPower SUA4300i in use

The A-iPower SUA4300i

Featuring a 149 cc OHV 4-stroke engine, the A-iPower SUA4300i operates using gasoline, providing 120V, with a running wattage of 3,450W and a starting wattage of 4,300W. In addition, the parallel capability (PK6000 parallel kit not included) empowers increasing of power output when linked to another similar or compatible unit, ensuring expanded energy capacity and reliability for various applications.

Featuring a noise rating of 62 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a normal conversation), the inverter generator utilizes a classic hand-operated recoil starting mechanism for ignition.

Thanks to its 1.6 gallon fuel tank, the SUA4300i can run continuously for up to 7.5 hours on a full tank (with an average fuel consumption of approximately 0.21 GPH).

Thanks to its low <3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), the SUA4300i produces a clean sine wave output, making it safe for your sensitive electronics when utilizing the AC outlets.

Outlets

The control panel features the upcoming 3 AC outlets:

Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R)
120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle

Furthermore, it has 3 DC outlets: there's a 12V 8A (cigarette lighter style) receptacle offering a convenient battery charging option and two 5V USB ports (1 x USB-A and 1 x USB-C) with which you may charge electronics, for example mobile phones or tablets, conveniently.

Even if this A-iPower generator isn't quite RV Ready, it still allows for an easy RV connection via an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor (included), thanks to its L5-30R receptacle.

Portability

With an inverter generator design, the A-iPower SUA4300i features a closed construction (L22 x W14.4 x H20.3 in), enhancing aesthetics and ensuring reduced noise levels, offering a distinct advantage over standard, open frame generators. The design follows the contemporary trends and is perfect for recreationally generating power.

Weighing 52.9 lbs, the SUA4300i is practical, ensuring it can follow you wherever power is required. Moreover, its set of 2 wheels and its telecospic handle facilitate movement of the generator once it's on the ground.

Features

The SUA4300i's control panel

Designed with a digital data center, the control panel of the SUA4300i grants you access to crucial data on the voltage, frequency, fuel level, power output and lifetime run hours, ensuring practical monitoring of its status and activity. To offer you even more control and easy operation during nighttime, the panel is LED-lit.

In addition to this info, some light indicators allow you to instantly see if the oil level is too low and the generator is overloaded.

As far as security is concerned, the generator comes with an overload protection (circuit breaker) and an automatic low oil shut-off, providing peace of mind during use.

It also includes a carbon monoxide sensor. This sensor is designed to monitor the level of carbon monoxide present during the generator's operation. If the generator is positioned incorrectly and carbon monoxide levels rise to an unsafe level, the generator will automatically shut down.

In addition to the traditional documentation and an owner's manual (opens in a new tab) to help you get started promptly, the A-iPower SUA4300i also includes several accessories: tool kit, battery charging cables, RV adapter, funnel and oil.

The A-iPower SUA4300i versus other generators

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how some of the key specs of the A-iPower SUA4300i compare to inverter generators of similar power (between 2500 and 3500 W).

  • When it comes to weight, the A-iPower SUA4300i tips the scales at just 52.9 pounds, making it one of the lighter inverter generators in the 2500 to 3500 rated wattage range. In terms of weight, one of the champions in their power range is the Pulsar PGD40iSCO, standing at just 46 lbs.
  • Since the inverter generator's noise is rated at 62 dBA, it has the roughly average expected noise for a device of similar type and power. If noise is a concern for you, you could consider the Honda EU3000iS, which is one of the least noisy generators in its power range, rated at 50 dBA.
  • As for its runtime, the SUA4300i runs for up to 7.5 hours at a 25% load, placing it towards the low end among comparable inverters. If runtime is a priority for you, the Champion 200977 stands out as one of the generators with the longest run time in its power range, providing up to 22 hours of continuous use.
  • Though run time is a significant parameter, it's closely tied to the generator's fuel tank size. To get a comprehensive understanding, fuel efficiency must also be taken into account. This inverter generator is not fuel-efficient compared to devices of similar output: its estimated fuel consumption stands at 0.21 GPH at a 25% load. If gasoline efficiency is at the top of your list, you may want to have a look at the Energizer eZV3500P, which has great fuel efficiency, with a gas consumption of only 0.13 gallons per hour.
