Power & Run Time
The A-iPower SUA2000i's core is the 80 cc Senci OHV 4-stroke engine, which runs on gasoline. With an output of 120V, it provides a running wattage of 1,600W and a peak wattage of 2,000W. Furthermore, its parallel capability (parallel kit included) allows power output to double when connected to another similar or compatible unit, ensuring expanded energy capacity and reliability for various applications.
With a noise rating of 58 dBA (less noisy than a refrigerator), the inverter generator features a traditional recoil pull-start mechanism.
Equipped with a 1.1 gallon fuel tank, the SUA2000i ensures continuous operation for up to 10 hours with a full tank (fuel usage approximately 0.11 gallons per hour).
Featuring a <3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), the SUA2000i delivers a clean sine wave, guaranteeing the safety of your sensitive electronics plugged into its AC outlets.
Outlets
The control panel features 2 AC outlets as follows:
Moreover, it boasts 1 DC outlet: there's a 12V 8A (cigarette lighter style) receptacle offering a convenient battery charging option.
While not classified as 'RV Ready,' this A-iPower generator can still provides the advantage of RV connection via its L5-30R receptacle, ensuring power supply to your RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor (included).
Portability
The A-iPower SUA2000i is distinguished by its enclosed inverter generator design (L19.3 x W11.4 x H19 in), providing improved aesthetics and quieter performance compared to traditional, open frame units. The featured design follows the latest trends and is ideal for easy and recreational use.
Weighing just 48.5 lbs, the SUA2000i can be considered a lightweight portable generator. The product’s power can be enjoyed on-the-go, as it can be moved by a single person without trouble. The inclusion of a handle (molded in the case) makes carrying it a breeze, adding to its convenience.

The A-iPower SUA2000i versus other generators
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how some of the key specs of the A-iPower SUA2000i compare to inverter generators of similar power (between 1500 and 2500 W).
- Weighing in at 48.5 lbs, the A-iPower SUA2000i fits within the expected weight range for inverters producing 1500 to 2500 rated watts. if you wish to prioritize weight, the Genmax GM2000i is one of the top contenders in its power category, weighing only 34.2 pounds.
- Among the generators of a comparable running wattage, this inverter generator with a lowest noise of 58 dBA can be judged as noisy. For those who are looking for a less noisy device, we suggest the Honda EU2200i. With just 48 dBA, it is one of the most quiet devices in this power range.
- The SUA2000i, falls within the average autonomy range compared to inverter generators of a roughly same power, with a run time of up to 10 hours at a 25% load and a full tank. If extended autonomy is what matters most to you, the DuroMax XP2300iH could be an excellent choice, offering one of the longest run times among units in its power category, reaching up to 13 hours.
- Run time is a key metric, but it's dependent on the generator's fuel tank capacity. Therefore, discussing fuel efficiency is necessary for a complete understanding. At a 25% load, the inverter generator consumes an estimated 0.11 gallons of gasoline per hour, falling within the average consumption range of units with similar output. If you wish to further improve in the area of fuel efficiency, the Westinghouse iGen2800, which boasts with a gas consumption of only 0.08 GPH, may be the right generator for you.
Price comparison
As you can see from these interactive charts, when compared to other 1500-2500W inverter generators, the A-iPower SUA2000i is on the cheap side of the price range.
It can therefore be a really good buy if you're looking to acquire a budget generator.
