As the EU7000iS and the EB10000 are both Honda generators, they benefit from the same level of quality and attention to detail. The EU7000iS belongs to the Super Quiet series (EU), which is ideal for recreational and home backup applications. The EB10000 is from the Industrial series (EB), a top-selling range of units in the construction and rental industries.

Power Comparison

The following charts are provided to show you at a glance how the main specs of the Honda EU7000iS compare to the Honda EB10000.

  • Power: With a running wattage of 9,000 W, the Honda EB10000 will allow to power more appliances and tools than the 5,500 running watts of the Honda EU7000iS. Moreover, compared to the 7,000 starting watts of the EU7000iS, the EB10000 and its starting wattage of 10,000 W will give more power to start the appliances which require an additional boost to get their motor running.
  • Runtime: We unfortunately lack the data to compare the runtimes of these 2 generators. Honda only provided data @25% load for one, and @50% load for the other. It makes little sense to compare runtimes at different loads.
  • Fuel Efficiency: For the same reasons as pointed out above, we do not see any sense in comparing fuel consumption at different loads. Inverter generators like the Honda EU7000iS are usually much more fuel efficient and quiet.
  • THD: The Honda EU7000iS with its low THD (<3%) is the only of these 2 generators that allows you to safely power your sensitive electronic devices (the Honda EB10000 has a THD <10%, which is too high for electronic products).
  • Noise: There's an important difference in the emitted noise between these 2 generators. In fact, the EU7000iS produces as low as 52 dBA, but the EB10000 is rated for a minimum dBA of 71. As previously mentioned, inverter generators such as the EU7000iS offer a much quieter operation.

Portability Comparison

  • Bulkiness: With dimensions of L33.4" x W27.6" x H28.4", the Honda EU7000iS offers a much more compact experience of power generation than the Honda EB10000 and its L41" x W27.7" x H35.1".
  • Weight: Weighing 263.2 lbs, the EU7000iS is much lighter than the 403 lbs of the EB10000.
  • Portability: Both products benefit from a wheel kit, which greatly enhances their maneuverability. Both offer a folding handle, which improves your grip when you wish to move them around.
  • Lifting Hook: Thanks to a lifting hook on the top of its frame, the Honda EB10000 offers an easy way to safely load and unload it on the back of a pick-up truck.

Feature Comparison

  • Starting System: While you can get both devices running via a convenient electric starter, the Honda EU7000iS is the only one which benefits from an additional conventional pull-start mechanism. The Honda EU7000iS offers another layer of convenience, as it can be remotely started.
  • EFI: The Honda EU7000iS benefits from an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, which enhances its engine's reliability, lowers its fuel consumption, improves its startup, reduces its servicing, boosts its stale fuel resistance, and offers better altitude adaptability.
  • Outlets: With a total of 7 AC outlets, the EB10000 offers more AC receptacles than the EU7000iS, which has 6 AC outlets. Yet, they both feature GFCI outlets. In addition, it is worth noting that they can both produce either 120 or 240V. For more detailed information regarding all their respective receptacles, refer to the EU7000iS's and the EB10000's product pages.
  • Data Center & Fuel Gauge: Each of these 2 portable generators is equipped with a data center allowing you to conveniently monitor some aspects of the power output. Besides that, these 2 products are fitted with a fuel gauge allowing to see their fuel level at a glance.
  • Technology: Both units benefit from Honda's CO Minder carbon monoxide monitoring technology. Besides that, the Honda EU7000iS offers you greater convenience by allowing you to monitor its vital stats via the My Generator mobile app.
