Predator 11500 vs 13000 - The Differences
Power Comparison
The following charts are provided to show you at a glance how the main specs of the Predator 13000 compare to the Predator 11500.
- The 2 portable generators benefit from a tri-fuel technology, which allows them to run either on gasoline, propane or natural gas for maximum convenience and versatility.
- With a running wattage of 10,000 W, the Predator 13000 will allow to power more appliances and tools than the 9,000 running watts of the Predator 11500. Moreover, compared to the 11,500 starting watts of the 11500, the 13000 and its starting wattage of 13,000 W will give more power to start the appliances which require an additional boost to get their motor running.
- We unfortunately lack the data to compare the runtimes of these 2 generators. Predator only provided data @25% load for one, and @50% load for the other. It makes little sense to compare runtimes at different loads.
- For the same reasons as pointed out above, we do not see any sense in comparing fuel consumption at different loads. Inverter generators like the 11500 are usually much more fuel efficient and quiet.
- The Predator 11500 with its low THD (<3%) is the only of these 2 generators that allows you to safely power your sensitive electronic devices (the Predator 13000 has a THD <23%, which is too high for electronic products).
- There's an important difference in the emitted noise between these 2 generators. In fact, the 11500 produces as low as 64.5 dBA, but the 13000 is rated for a minimum dBA of 78.5. As previously mentioned, inverter generators such as the 11500 offer a much quieter operation.
Portability Comparison
- As these two products share the same overall bulk, neither of them will really take up less storage space.
- The 13000 and its 226 lbs is somewhat lighter than the 259.5 lbs of the 11500.
- Both products benefit from a wheel kit, which greatly enhances their maneuverability. Both offer a folding handle, which improves your grip when you wish to move them around.
Feature Comparison
- Both devices can be started either via a pull-start mechanism or an electric starter. Both have the additional ability to be handily remotely started.
- The 13000 offers a higher amount of AC receptacles than the 11500: the former benefits from 7 AC outlets, whereas the latter has 5 AC outlets. Yet, they both feature GFCI outlets. The latter also offers a DC output. In addition, it is worth noting that they can both produce either 120 or 240V.
- Each of these 2 portable generators is equipped with a data center allowing you to conveniently monitor some aspects of the power output. Besides that, these 2 products are fitted with a fuel gauge allowing to see their fuel level at a glance.
- Both units benefit from Predator's CO Secure carbon monoxide monitoring technology.
