Further down the page, you'll find some explanations regarding the key similarities and differences between the Predator 4375 and the Predator 4550.
But before checking out explanations regarding their power, portability, and features, here's a table that summarizes the main pros of each of these 2 generators:

As the 4375 and the 4550 are both Predator generators, they benefit from the same level of quality and attention to detail.
Power Comparison
The following charts are provided to show you at a glance how the main specs of the Predator 4375 compare to the Predator 4550.
- Power: With a running wattage of 3,650 W, the Predator 4550 will allow to power more appliances and tools than the 3,500 running watts of the Predator 4375. Moreover, compared to the 4,375 starting watts of the 4375, the 4550 and its starting wattage of 4,550 W will give more power to start the appliances which require an additional boost to get their motor running.
- Runtime: We unfortunately lack the data to compare the runtimes of these 2 generators. Predator only provided data @25% load for one, and @50% load for the other. It makes little sense to compare runtimes at different loads.
- Fuel Efficiency: For the same reasons as pointed out above, we do not see any sense in comparing fuel consumption at different loads. Inverter generators like the 4550 are usually much more fuel efficient and quiet.
- Noise: With a noise of 64.6 dBA, the 4550 allows for a quieter operation than the 72 dBA of the 4375. The former will therefore be the most suitable for you if you take noise emission seriously.
Portability Comparison
- Weight: Weighing 77 lbs, the 4550 is much lighter than the 105 lbs of the 4375.
Feature Comparison
- Starting System: Both devices can get running via a conventional pull-start mechanism.
- Outlets: The 4375 and the 4550 both offer 5 AC outlets. They also both feature GFCI outlets. Both of them also feature a DC output. However, the 4375 does not provide an out-of-the-box USB connectivity. In addition, it is worth noting that only the Predator 4375 can also produce 240V. For more detailed information regarding all their respective receptacles, refer to the 4375's and the 4550's product pages.
- Fuel Gauge: These 2 products are fitted with a fuel gauge allowing to see their fuel level at a glance.
- Technology: Both units benefit from Predator's CO Secure carbon monoxide monitoring technology.
